Creator & host, Robb Chavez began ROBB’S METALWORKS (RMW) in 1996 & is now San Antonio’s LONGEST STANDING METAL INSTITUTION. He began San Antonio’s leading cable television show with a few goals in mind: foremost, to bring the metal music straight to the people, more so, to deliver the metal musicians to the people, in unbiased, uninterpreted face-to-face interviews & finally, to share the ‘good news’ on all the regional Texas underground metal. For the past 10 years RMW has been distributed by Time Warner Cable & reaching over 340K homes have consistently become San Antonio’s BEST voted cable show for 2002, 2003, 2004 & 2006 via San Antonio’s #1 entertainment publication, THE SAN ANTONIO CURRENT. Robb attributes the program’s success to pure integrity & passion. It’s a simple formula that cannot be denied & one that will undoubtedly continue.

January 2006 saw RMW move even closer to success in its endless pursuit to support metal. At the tail end of 2005, RMW finally said 'farewell' to public access and began negotiations with STUF TV (Time Warner Cable - Channel 50) in an effort to find its headbanging program a new home. Now, with contracts signed for 2007, viewers can find RMW on STUF TV every 3rd Sunday of the month. What does this mean for our metal fans? This move definitely does not compromise our efforts in supporting some of the worlds, heaviest, extreme and melodic metal bands; however, it does move us up a few notches in the actual production & also allows us to share our network of business associates through a variety of advertising mediums.
